There are many reasons you may want to plan a girl's night out with your friends. Maybe a friend is getting married or perhaps one is getting divorced. Maybe someone one just graduated from university and you need to celebrate or maybe you have all just been working too hard and need time alone to have fun. Regardless of the reason, a girl's night out can be a fun and enjoyable experience!

Setting the Stage

First, you should decide what type of night this will be. More than likely, it is a celebration, but even celebrations can take on many different moods. Is it just a casual dinner out with friends or are you planning to all dress up and go dancing? Do you want to go to the theatre to see a movie you have all been dying to see? On the other hand, do you just want to have the girls over to your place so you can talk and relax?

Knowing what you are celebrating and what type of event it will be can help you make appropriate plans. Know if the night is going to be an all out, high maintenance event or just some comfort food and good conversation. You may have a mixture of friends - some that are divas and some that are not - so you may need to plan the night carefully to make sure everyone has a good time.

Events

You can pick one event, such as a night of dancing, or you can layer events for the evening. Have your girlfriends over to your flat for a start-the-evening cocktail, then you can go to a favourite restaurant to enjoy a good meal. Afterwards, you can hit the local hot spot to dance the night (and the calories!) away!

If your friends are not really into partying, look for other alternatives to clubbing. Check out the latest movie, go midnight bowling, or scan the newspaper to see if there are any festivals in town. The paper usually lists the weekly events, so it is easy to find out about happenings you may never have known existed!

If you are just looking simply to spend time with your friends to reacquaint yourselves, consider dinner at your flat, then a night of playing games. Playing games such as Trivial Pursuit or even a game that doesn't require anything such as Truth or Dare can not only release stress, but can also help you bond with your friends.

Getting There

It is a good idea to plan transportation ahead of time. If you are having a big night out on the town and can afford it, rent a limo for the night. This not only assures you that everyone is at the same place at the same time if you plan multiple events, but it also allows you to drink and not worry about driving later or assigning someone as the designated driver.

Pamper Yourselves

For a relaxing girl's night out, consider a night in - at your home spa! You can have a night of pedicures, manicures, and facials. Either beautify each other or call in a professional. If you have the room, consider calling in a yoga instructor or hiring a personal masseuse to give massages.

Remember the most important thing about a girl's night out - to bond and create great memories with your friends. Whether you go out on the town or just say home and relax, this night is about you and your friends, so gossip, laugh, and share good times.
